DEEEE-compression
Sometimes you just have to get away from overload of sound and visual stimuli.
Yesterday I went for a six mile walk after work. I don’t know how it got to six miles, it just kinda’ happened. Three miles down the bike path and a 1/2 hour later I was like WHOA! It helped I ran out of trail too. Learn to listen to your body. I would have never started out to do a six miler intentionally yesterday. Phones ringing, people with questions and demands it all adds up that’s for certain. A soul needs a break!
Sometimes your mind and body just need some quiet and non-stress related heart rate increase! How do you relax. I’m wondering if there is a generational or “genderational” difference? Let me know!
Have a fine shift wherever you are and whatever you’re doing. Remember…Change is normal! jt

911 Calls follow-up
Hey here’s the link to NBC’s Dateline page with the story. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25559012/
Check it out…especially if you answer 911 calls for a living! jt
PS Thanks to NBC Dateline for running a set of good stories on 911 operators and callers.
911 Call show on NBC Sunday night..,
was short, dramatic and just a taste of what Emergency Telecommunicators have to handle.
There were some truly heroic people/victims on this show. The operators did a phenomenal job.
The Illinois operator with the 911 call was really thinking two steps ahead!
Did anyone else catch the show? I’ll have to look for it online.

Dispatchers and Operators…
How was everyone’s 4th of July?
My thoughts go out to the folks working through the fires in CA.
I also hope conditions are improving for the families along the flooded center of the country.
These events affect everyone in Communications and Logistics.
Anyone have pictures or stories to share from their seats? jt
